You’ll play the crucial role of providing our clients with immaculate books. As the Bookkeeper, you will be part of the client service team for monthly bookkeeping clients as well as assisting with other bookkeeping data entry tasks as we grow. You will maintain organized cloud file storage, provide insight to optimize processes, maintain reports/spreadsheets, keep client-specific processes and notes up-to-date, perform monthly bookkeeping, and communicate with clients almost exclusively through our client portal app-Keeper (although all bookkeepers/account managers reach out to our amazing clients sometimes via phone to check in and help speed up the communication…and by the way they LOVE us for this). This position ensures our clients books are prepped to provide exceptional financial statements to our clients so they can make informed decisions about their business.

We serve all kinds! All kinds of businesses that is. We will begin niching in equine, agriculture and service-based businesses towards the end of the year, but for now we are generalists, always learning something new with new industries.

• Perform bookkeeping tasks by deadlines with maximum precision and efficiency (target less than 3 kick-backs per account)
• Maintaining on-track bookkeeping projects by completing tasks by deadlines
• Swift and joyful communication with team-members and clients (via Asana/Keeper/email/sometimes phone)
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Check email, Keeper and Asana no less than 3x per day minimum
• Assist with completing new client QBO setups
• Assist with cleanup/catchup data entry
• Assist with quality checking other bookkeepers’ work for precision in data and process compliance
• Perform year-end closing tasks for regular bookkeeping clients

• Required:
  • 2 years bookkeeping experience
  • Bookkeeper Launch Certificate of Completion
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Always mindful of security and confidentiality
  • Hard charger towards deadlines and remains focused on priorities
  • Professional remote work environment experience
  • QBO ProAdvisor Certification
  • Microsoft Excel experience

• Preferred:
  • Quickbooks Desktop experience (Enterprise a plus!)

• $25-$30/hr DOE
• Remote, part-time contractor position with opportunity for growth and/or W2
• 30+ hours/month
• Flex schedule (preferably during regular business hours)
